Brooks ghost 14 review
Hey, everybody, this is Steve Moore, the owner of Run Moore, this brick-and-mortar running shop located in Westminster, Maryland.
The Brooks Ghost 14 has consistently been one of our top contenders when it comes to our favorite women's running shoes. It didn't take home an award this time around, but it scored highly across the board. Brooks continues to reconfigure the midsole, outsole, and overall structure to create a user-friendly, versatile, and durable running shoe that can serve runners of all shapes, sizes, and goals. If you are looking for a sole with supportive yet plush underfoot cushioning, some lateral support to help keep you running strong, and strong durability, this traditionally -shaped running shoe might be your perfect match. We love how Brooks marries responsiveness with their comfortable, traditional, millimeter drop running shoe features. The Ghost 14 is a great choice if you want a responsive shoe that is suitable for long-distance training.

The Ghost 14 continues its lineage of no-nonsense running with a few updates. You put it on your foot, you run a lot of miles, it feels pretty good, and then you buy the next version. Not much changes, which can be good and bad. The lacing system has also gotten a makeover, as they seem slightly broader and Brooks decided to go with reinforced slits this time around. I gotta admit, these changes feel nice on foot. The biggest difference may be the now built-up heel counter. This could go either way depending on runner preference, but this thing feels plush in the back with zero irritation whatsoever. The air-injected EVA is soft to the touch and forgiving without being too mushy. That classic 12 mm drop feels great with the new foam.
I appreciate it and everybody checking out our channel. Brooks ghost 14 review suspect Brooks would lose a lot of loyal fans if they changed the Ghost down to 8mm - beginners and recreational runners appreciate the help for their calves and Achilles tendons. Beyond that, brooks ghost 14 review, the mesh is softer and more pliable with the toe box similar to the Ghost 13 in fit: comfort oriented, very decently broad, higher volume but not exactly a performance locked down fit.
The Brooks Ghost 14 is a long-time favorite for a lot of runners. This durable shoe can go the distance, last a long time, and hugs your foot with ample padding throughout. There have been a few updates to the 14, but the major change from previous models is the midsole. As we all know, Jacks-of-all-trades rarely excel at any single thing. Read on to learn more. This shoe is consistent for runners doing varied distance runs over varied terrain. Whether you run on pavement, a treadmill, or even mild dirt trails, I found that the Ghost 14 is a no-fuss workhorse for daily use.

Steph: This shoe felt great during my recovery runs, endurance runs, and even when I picked up speed for intervals. On average, he runs miles a week in the foothills of Northern Colorado. So 12mm works very nicely indeed for me in a recovery or rehab shoe, as I'm strictly a forefoot runner. For racing flats we ensure that we have completed intervals, a tempo or steady state run run as well as a warm up and cool down in each pair prior to review. This means that the heel, midfoot, and toe box are all moderate in width without significant variation, whereas in other shoes you may see a moderate to narrow heel, a snug and secure midfoot, and then a more open toe box. As a former sprinter in my youth, my ankles have developed limited dorsiflexion. Moderate cushioning leads to a responsive feel that is great for uptempo efforts. The length was just about right for both so they may run a touch short. The grip is great. This is a shoe that has never let me down…I can see why I keep coming back to it! Close Hey! The insanely robust ankle collar provides a soft touch around your ankle and Achilles and the tongue is a whopping 8.

Steph: I feel the outsole is very basic looking. Stats Approx. The upper mesh is stretchy and for my narrower foot a little loose around mid- and forefoot. This traditionally-shaped running shoe perfectly combines strength and softness for a gritty, yet gentle running experience. My sample pair was a US9, so half up from my normal. Nils: I must admit that I didn't have high expectations when the Ghost 14 arrived at my door. No tempo runs for me in the Ghost. But nobody gets excited for the ballplayer who hits. This has not changed in the update. For those who are used to running in higher drop shoes, you won't have a problem. See more.
