We had a chat with short course student Christian Oliver, who took our Introduction to Cosmetic Science course in Read about his journey below. Tell us a little bit about your background and why you decided to study this course? Like a lot of students I had no idea what I wanted to do for a really long time. I just kept going from course to course. I did photography for 2 years. That was in but it turned out I was way too late as I applied in February and all the places were filled. I thought this is it now, I really need to try and do it. I found the short course Introduction to Cosmetic Science, and I had a great time on that, I made a good friend. It was a really fun week.

London College of Fashion has offered university-level education in cosmetic science for over two decades and has offered the only integrated MSc in Cosmetic Science in the world since The group of LCF researchers dedicated to advancing our knowledge of cosmetic science engage in a wide range of multidisciplinary research, including consumer psychology, topical pharmaceuticals, needs of disabled consumers, multimodality of sensory responses, and energy consumption in cosmetic manufacturing. Underlying this research is a consistent focus on themes such as sustainability, equality, diversity, and inclusion. The research group published review papers on incredibly pertinent topics in the open-access journal Cosmetics. The Cosmetic Science team featured prominently at the conference, with Professor Danka Tamburic as a member of the scientific committee; and Diogo Baltazar and Gabriela Daniels , moderating podium presentation sessions at the event.
