The mousepad feet
Does anyone have any recommendations for this? I use the FK with a qck mousepad. The stock mouse feet last a week or two before the mouse starts to feel uncomfortable because of the friction. I also tried out hyperglides and they felt like an improvement but I'm only a month in and I had to switch them out. I'm not sure why my mouse feet are wearing out so quickly when other people don't seem to be having this issue. First off stock fk mouse feet are pretty shit so that's no surprise. Second off, how often do you clean your mousepad? The teflon on the mouse feet can wear off and get stuck into the pad, usually produces kind of a "sticky" feeling which can be attributed to more friction. I've had pretty good experiences with hyperglides in the past and a month is way way on the short side of their lifespan, especially on a cloth pad. Of course there's always a chance your qck is just wearing out, I've never had amazing durability with that pad.
I noticed that the whole "doesn't get affected by humidity" marketing speak doesn't really apply to any of my mousepads despite being advertised as such. Otherwise I just wipe it with a damp towel, the mousepad feet. Reason: Topic automatically closed 6 months after creation.

I may have to resort to using a more durable hard pad made of metal or glass which then may introduce more wear on the ceramic feet. Sometimes that just means a large mouse pad like xl mouse pads or a xxl mousepad to give people more room to maneuver. It will be a while before I know how well the ceramic feet will resist wear and how well the hard plastic pad will hold up.
