Nana's slow but steady journey to gentrification pushes on with the opening of The Bar Upstairs, the bar upstairs bangkok, a new wine bar venture of Soho Hospitality, aka the people behind Havana Social and Above Eleven, as well as Brasserie Cordonnier, the French restaurant downstairs. The Bar Upstairs, however, has a different daily hukamnama app, one that takes you through a winding staircase covered with lush, leafy vines. The wine list explores more than labels, with the most affordable wine going the bar upstairs bangkok as low as B per glass for Spanish wine Ave de Presa Premierwhich is a steal at this price.
The lounge above a French restaurant, Brasserie Cordonnier, on Sukhumvit Soi 11 has recently been transformed into a wine bar and shop nestled in a French-inspired leafy loft in the heart of Bangkok. When the brasserie first opened late last year, patrons were treated not only to a sumptuous homecooked French menu but also the unique experience at Sole Rouge Lounge on the second level that invoked a Sex and the City spirit with a display of pairs of shoes and dainty cocktails. The Bar Upstairs has a high ceiling, lots of green and comfortable seating dotted around a space ideal for a more private gathering. The bar also has a wine-tasting area where patrons can engage in a tasting session or simply taste the wines before purchasing the bottles. The extensive wine list features an ever changing array of over international labels. The wines are complemented by French comfort dishes by Executive Chef Clement Hernandez, offering home-made terrine, imported cheese, cold cuts, light bites as well as hearty, filling dishes.

Bangkok allows fun loving people to live their wildest dreams. Look again and suddenly your perspective changes. Ours certainly did after we climbed the wooden stairs in the embrace of greenery. There it was: The Bar Upstairs Bangkok, whose design made it seem like we were in the south of France. In addition, the Bar Upstairs, Sukhumvit 11 is above the Brasserie Cordonnier French restaurant, and this is no coincidence. In the first place, nature is featured all around and inside The Bar Upstairs. The detailed design resembles an abandoned house, which could be right in the center of a huge vineyard if you ask me. As can be seen, the whole Bar upstairs is decorated with a combination of glass, wood and green plants. However, sitting here and having a few glasses of wine is a recipe to forget you are actually in Bangkok and not somewhere in Brittany, France. The guests get to choose between two areas: one has a view over the bar with the open ceiling in the middle, and the other where there is a large walk-in wine cellar and balcony all around the floor from which you can look down at the bar — we opted for the latter. In a word, countryside feel goes a long way at the Upstairs Bar Bangkok, even all the way to the bathrooms, where you can listen to the sounds of nature on a summer evening. How relaxing is that?! I loved it! The menu is full of comfort foods typical of French cuisine as well as imported cheeses and cold cuts from France and Spain. The chef prepares a basket for three or more people and its content is a surprise.
Rolls-royce Unveils Its Extravag The selection also puts the spotlight on biodynamic bottles like the flavorful Massaya Classic Red from Lebanon B2, the bar upstairs bangkok, for takeaway. The dark and moody space continues to serve this politically slanted menu, alongside more refined offerings such as the Chrysanthemum Fizz with a full bloom floating in the glass.
