While the pandemic may have changed their grand opening plans, former pop-up chefs Parnass Lim Savang and Rod Lassiter see Talat Market opening for takeout as just another challenge to tackle. Located inside an old neighborhood store , Talat Market seats 45 people between its dining room and large, boat-shaped bar, with additional seating for up to 15 people on the covered patio out front. Savang describes the dining room as a mixture of Thai and American aesthetics, with a mural by Atlanta artist Christina Kwan. The chefs eventually plan to serve a menu of 12 to 15 Thai and Thai-inspired dishes, featuring soups, salads, relishes, curries, stir-fries, and desserts, along with a couple of larger entrees and late-night street food. While the pandemic may have changed their plans, Savang and Lassiter see the restaurant opening for takeout as just another challenge to tackle. For now, the restaurant is taking preorders for family-style takeout meals.

Love this place! Highly recommended. I dined here after it was recommend by a colleague. The food was amazing, especially the freshness of the dishes and portion size - all great value! The spring rolls tasted great and the pastry and ingredients was tasty and fresh. Pineapple rice with the lime squeezed on top was good. Curry puffs were nice. Magic carpet was my favourite surprise on my taste buds. I look forward to trying the noodles and seafood and squeezing in dessert on my next visit.
