Not much was known about the biome before it was cut. The Deep Arctic was removed in build after the summer developer retreat, and everything below meters in the biome including the Methane Ice Caves was completely filled in with terrain. The Fissure was a small unfinished transitional biome that connected the Purple Vents with the old Crystal Caves.
