A preview of something that made me experience 3 times the krita app freezing, 2 times force closing, and being very slow while creating this piece because there was no tool that could simplify these points. You may know more about working with vectors than I do, but I have had CorelDraw crash many times because of too many vector nodes in the object. I sometimes use the auto-trace feature for grabbing jpg shapes in to my vector document. I still do some logo design for my local graphics shop. Not sure if Krita has that feature.
