If you were playing Duel to game the system for free gems, then you are doing it wrong and that's why this rule exists. Also, it might be disabled for Duel due to the nature of the game mode being 1v1 and the concept of a god leaderboard for a mode wherein the majority of the gods in the game are not good to play means that you are also encouraging people to play as trolls just to become "the best Duelist at Sylvanus" and get free gems for intentionally playing sub-par.
