By bigyellow April 25, in General Chat. My dad bought a Hesston brand new probably thirty years ago that we john deere 530 baler used to make a couple hundred bales per year ever since. I'm good at using it and even better at fixing it.

You can put a hole in the middle of tie arm and route a second string and then speed the arm up to compete with on tieing speed. No kicker and no ability to add net wrap. For bales a year I think a would do good enough. I run about a year through mine. If I was still baling, and I had to run twine I'd look hard into what the Dakota guys are doing that run 4 twine arms.

I have looked at a couple other 4x4 and 4x5 balers that need fewer HP but they are realtively hard to find. I don't want to put too much stress on my tractor and this is probably right on the edge. So my question is, can I set it to wrap at 5'?

Do you make the other tube just like the one that is on there or do you need to make shorter or bend it or something?
