At the event, IGG claimed the 1st place Level-8 Team Award, 5 individual State Titles, and the distinction of all their gymnasts qualifying for upcoming Regional Championships, including 2 Level-8 gymnasts who qualified to represent Team Florida at Regionals. Based on the performance at the state competition, the top performers were declared eligible to compete at the Regional Championship. Of the Level-8 gymnast who competed, only the top 9 spots qualified for the additional honor as members of Team Florida, including Abigail Brown 4th overall and Chloe Chwalik 9th overall. The Level-8 team state championship adds to a near perfect season for the group. With the returning core of gymnasts from their Level-7 state championship team, the Level-8 squad built on that prior success by starting this season with 4 straight team wins in the face of improbable odds. Team competitions are comprised of the top 3 scores for each team in each event, which meant the small, but determined IGG Level-8 team had little room for error throughout the entire season.
