Warrior is a melee-focused profession that loves hitting enemies hard with a wide arsenal of weapons. Their dual axes provide them with some serious damage, while weapon swapping to dual-wielded maces gives them access to powerful crowd control abilities.

By kanorsanity. Take Might Makes Right if you need more sustain. Celestial is a decent alternative if you need more defense. Everyone has their preferences.. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, but I find Zerk is just a bit too glassy for me to be comfortable with. Damage output is great, sure, but it doesn't have as many ways of avoiding damage as SB and my Core hambow. Always, always carry a ranged option in your second slot for open world, and I favour bow over rifle simply because it provides more access to AoE and self-application combo fields. The basic attack also has blind removal built in, thanks to it firing 2 shots per attack. For SB, remember that the vast majority of open world enemies rarely, if ever, use boons. I've got 3 build templates and 3 equipment templates to allow me to switch quickly and easily outside of combat, and so they're all built around the same armour set. I haven't got Legendary armour, so have built around Marauder being the default for each build, necessitating them all being power over condition. I am working on a full set of legendary runes, but for the time being, I've settled on Eagle, which seems to have the best overall utility across all three of my builds. It's got pretty good sustain, a great amount of control, and puts out a fair amount of damage. It's my all-rounder build, but takes some getting used to. I actually get quite a lot of stability out of this build thanks to Brave Stride , which triggers on Aura Slicer, Breaching Strike and Kick.
I haven't got Legendary armour, so have built around Marauder being the default for each build, necessitating them all being power over condition, gw2 build warrior. Marauder gear for damage. But having everything with Ascended stats does make everything in open world easier.

You can upkeep a permanent 25 stacks of Might , permanent Fury , and almost permanent Quickness through the Axe abilities, traits, and Banners. You also provide some of those boons to your allies, and with minor trait changes you can even keep 25 Might on them. This build revolves around upkeeping the damage modifier from Berserker's Power by using your burst skills off cooldown.

My Mesmer is the most flexible of my characters, having both a full Marauder set and a full Viper one.
