Just took my fusion kayaks out with the wife. I can definitely fish from this which was one of the big things I got excited for for it. I added an oar holder, a couple of rod holders, an anchor, a dry storage in the front of it for my phone and keys. The Fusion is a fantastic and capable mid- priced starter kayak. I bought this boat for kayak camping. My first trip was 8 days on the New River in North Carolina. I have had this boat for 3 years and have had nothing but excellent service. I modified the front storage to be 11 in deep vise to 2 in deep. I changed the seat to an ocean systems kayak seat, and created my own strap adjustment system. My experience that the rear hatch will leak in heavy weather.
