Post a Comment. Thursday 30 July Excellent Miniatures - 10mm elf scale comparison. I recently received a package of sample 10mm miniatures from a German company, Excellent Miniatures. For full disclosure, I paid for most of the postage, but I did not pay for the miniatures. The package contained an assortment of figures from different ranges that they currently sell. In this post, I am going to concentrate on the two ranges of elves that were in the sample - Elven Nobles and Elves of the Wood.

I've started on a unit of spear-elves now and will do more of a step by step documentation of how they're done. Forum Tools Forum Tools Search. Infantry characters 10x10mm, Cavalry 10x20mm and so on It's not a perfect conversion, as the various units will not have the exact same relative sizes to each other, but I think it'll be close enough to not signifivantly mess up balance. I recommend skipping the eyes on the rank n file at 10mm. The edges of the map is often the main "terrain" feature, rather than actual terrain like woods and rocks. The little 10mm guys got placed on the backburner for a while as life got in the way. I'm on the lookout for a warmaster rulebook sometime. There's something about proper rank n' flank gaming that's just really satisfying. Forum adverts like this one are shown to any user who is not logged in. Even so, the Noble Elves are closer in size to Warmaster figures and the historical ranges of Pendraken and Magister Militum than those companies' fantasy lines. I have another bolt thrower readdy waiting for some paint. I was away travelling for a while and forgot to check the log Dysartes wrote: Nice work on the Spearmen, even if they are Elves - and good thinking on the basing, so your units can be used in multiple configurations.

The Elves of the Wood stag-riders are pretty special; special enough for me to place an order so I can paint up a small army for Fantastic Battles. I'm very pleased with the colour scheme too. With two fully painted p armies each, we were ready for the full visual spectacle of battle. These particular elves are made by Exellent Miniatures themselves, but other creators sculpts are also sold on the page, such as Forest Dragon I've been on the lookout for some original warmaster models, but they tend to fetch rather high prices unfortunately. CaptainWaffle wrote: Artillery is looking great! Thank you. I used to have some 6mm ancients based as 15mm DBM armies with the same general concept. This will ensure war machines cannot be put too far back compared to how the game is balancetested, and while it should make cavalry and especially light, fast cavalry a bit better then intended, I don't think these kind of units are in any way overpowered in the current KoW 3rd ed meta, so it might actually produce better balance compared to large cav and inf, especially flying ones. Subject: Adventures in the 10mm scale. Will snap a better one once he's gotten further along. Some progress made again.
I apologise, but, in my opinion, you are mistaken. I can defend the position. Write to me in PM, we will communicate.
