As a beginner, one tends to draw poses that seem too static which can appear very boring and inexpressive. There are 3 ways you can elevate these said poses. One thing a beginner can do to improve the poses is by breaking the symmetry. Observe the image below, notice how breaking a symmetry makes a poses seems a bit more interesting and well bit more dynamic. I know front-facing and side-facing shots can be dynamic too but this is only relevant if you know what you are doing. When first starting out, a good rule of thumb is to avoid these two-angle shots. With this in mind, you can apply this tip to the pose from before.
