The Canberra Yacht Club enjoys a spectacular location on the waterfront at Lotus Bay on Lake Burley Griffin, catering for a thriving membership with a diverse range of boating interests. We provide recreational opportunities as well as organised division racing on Sundays during the summer season and more leisurely twilight sailing Wednesday evenings. Fortnightly autumn and winter racing ensures fun year - round sailing. Buoyed Up with Tackers is an initiative which assists vulnerable, at-risk children aged years to participate in the Junior Sailing program as a way to build confidence, self-esteem and engage in an active lifestyle. We are equally proud of our Sailability program offering an additional level of support, an established network of volunteers, and equipment to assist people of all-abilities to get into sailing. The CYC also provides access to sailing through the hire of boats to those with some sailing ability. Our office, club rooms and training centre are on the Lotus Bay side of the building.

I hope you enjoyed our Golden Anniversary celebrations which ran from July to September. Our next big celebration is Christmas Day. All the details are on page 5 of your Members magazine.
