In Conan Exiles , everything is out to kill you, even your own stomach if you're not too careful. Like in most other survival games , the fragility of dear life is instilled in you with every step you take. So what can you do to soften the blow of this bleak, draconian game world? You build a house. It doesn't matter if it's crude and mostly resembles your childhood attempt to shield yourself from imaginary monsters with a blanket; a base can keep you alive. Sadly, that very same home can also serve as your coffin and gravestone if you're not careful in choosing where you squat. Other players, NPCs, or the forces of nature are none too welcoming to you and your humble abode; it's best to treat everything with hostility here.

When playing Conan Exiles , it's easy to become wholly immersed in the experience especially considering the many base areas to choose between while exploring. All the space on the map means many more areas for players to build impressive bases. While it is true that most players are interested in building on an area of flat land, there are numerous other opportune locations like cliffs, mountains, and valleys. For example, some players have taken a shining to the old ruins in the jungle since building a base is possible there, while others have chosen the dangerous but exciting desert lands of Bonebreakers End.
