Botw paya
Botw paya is the granddaughter of Impa, botw paya, botw paya. Paya is a shy young woman who helps care for her elderly grandmother and assist her in guarding the Sheikah Heirloom until the prophecy relating to it was fulfilled. The prophecy foretold a hero would be chosen by the heirloom to receive a blessing. At some point Paya attempted to see if she could fulfill the prophecy to free her family of the burden of watching over it by attempting to use it to activate the ancient dias near Cotera 's Great Fairy Fountain but failed.
While she may not seem important at first glance, Paya is the key to unlocking a shrine near Kakariko Village. Paya is a quiet and shy woman who busies herself by performing chores for her grandmother, Impa. However, she has more to offer than just cleaning and tidying up. She is faithful, loyal, and willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to protecting her people. However, due to her Sheikah education, she immediately recognizes the Sheikah Slate upon her first encounter with Link. When Link asks Paya where her birthmark is, she gets quite embarrassed, forcing Impa to jump in and suggest Link talk about something else. Even though she is timid, Paya has been marked as a future leader o the Sheikah.

A Sheikah scholar by trade [1] , Paya is the granddaughter of Impa and first can be seen scrubbing the wood deck just outside of Lady Impa's Hall. Something of a bookworm, when Link first approaches her, she is very shy and embarrassed. She has a stuttering problem and repeatedly covers her face when talking. Paya recognizes Link's Sheikah Slate and knows that he's Link, the man his grandmother has been waiting for. Paya got her name as she has a birthmark shaped as a papaya seed and was named after that. It is customary to have one for those who have a long and noble Sheikah lineage, to honor their past; each leader and future leader of the clan gets the tattoo, which is why Purah doesn't have one, despite being of the same family. After speaking with Impa and completing the Seek Out Impa quest, Paya will fall into a more regular routine. She awakes at 9am each morning and heads downstairs to watch over the Sheikah Heirloom. This Ancient Orb resides right next to Paya and she will spend the majority of her day sitting and kneeling right beside it.

Paya is first seen in Kakariko Village scrubbing the porch of her grandmother Impa 's house. When Paya notices Link she jumps up with an exclamation and hides her face throughout the conversation.
Successful completion of this shrine quest reveals the hidden Lakna Rokee Shrine in the Dueling Peaks region. To begin this shrine quest, speak to Paya in Kakariko Village. She lives in the large house with Impa. Once those are complete, talk to the guards outside of Impa's house in Kakariko Village. They'll discuss how a thief stole something from Paya, the shy girl who lives with Impa. The two women will be fraught that someone so brazenly stole something so precious from them. Wait by the fire right outside until night time. At 10 PM, one of the guards, Dorian , will leave his post. Be as sneaky as possible, and follow him. Consider wearing the Stealth Chest Guard and other Stealth armor , or eating stealth boosting food to make this easier.

She is the granddaughter of Impa. She is also the one responsible of the prayers in the village. Paya is found in Impa's home in Kakariko Village, where she usually watches over the Sheikah Heirloom. She has a diary in her room that Link can read. Sometime between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom Impa stepped down from her role as Sheikah chief and declared Paya the new chief, with Dorian as her assistant. Paya says that her name comes from a papaya-shaped birthmark she has on her left butt cheek, though she seems embarrassed by its location. She will refuse to reveal the birthmark's location when Link asks, but is eventually outed by Impa. She uses the name "Papaya" as her alias for her entry in the Journal of Various Worries.
