Biron snowshelf shrine

As the title of the shrine suggests, this shrine requires Link to prove his strength by defeating a Guardian Scout and completing the shrine.

It is hidden in a cliffside cave on the easternmost point of the Biron Snowshelf. There is a wide, snow-covered canyon below it, and the entrance to the cave is on the cliff to the left as you're headed north through that canyon. Browse the gallery below for the precise location. Wear the strongest armor to this battle that you can, and bring guardian weapons with high damage output. Begin by drinking an elixir that improves your attack power, then move in close and strike your opponent with Flurry Rush attacks when possible. After it attacks a few times with its armaments, the guardian will typically use a whirling attack, so get out of the way and then move in quickly to land a few more strikes.

Breath of the Wild Tears of the Kingdom. Hebra Mountains , Hebra. The Biron Snowshelf is a large region at the west end of the Hebra Mountains. It primarily covers the higher elevated area, just north of Lake Kilsie. As with most of the Hebra province, the temperature is bitterly cold, requiring Link to wear armor with Cold Resistance , such as the Snowquill Set , in order to survive. On the plateau at the top of the snowshelf, there is a dangerous Guardian Stalker that will awaken when Link draws near. There are also Snow Octoroks and Cold-Footed Wolves in this area, making it even more dangerous for Link to battle the guardian. At the northwest portion of the snowshelf, there is a snowy enemy skull camp with a number of Black Lizalfos and some Ice-Breath Lizalfos. After defeating them a treasure chest will appear in the base that contains ten Fire Arrows. Just south of the camp there are some breakable boulders by the cliff that have a treasure chest that contains a Ruby gem. Just east of the skull base, on a significantly higher plateau, there is a very dangerous enemy camp, with a ton of Black Moblin and a Black Lizaflos. When defeated, Link can open the treasure chest to get a Knight's Shield. There are a few more treasure chests in the area; one just southwest of where the Guardian is located, on a slightly lower elevation. The chest here contains five Ice Arrows. Another is found east of the guardian, at a much lower elevation.

To find the chest with the Vah Medoh Divine Helm , head inside the cave with the large updraft at the bottom and multiple large rocks on the wall. Destroy the rocks on the south, northwest, and northeast corners to let the spring water out and open another room with the treasure chest. This armor piece is also a part of the Treasure of the Secret Springs quest.

If you use your Sheikah Sensor, it will guide you on top of the Biron Snowshelf. The shrine is actually located beneath the plateau. To enter the shrine, head to the valley just to the east. There is a small hole along the cliff, at the west side of the valley, at the east edge of the Biron Snowshelf. The shrine is another Major Test of Strength shrine.

Whilst there is a Shrine Quest associated with this that will give you an ultra-vague clue as to how find it, it is also possible to simply stumble upon it whilst you are exploring the Hebra region. To do so, head directly north from the Rito Village to reach the Biron Snowshelf. This is just north of Lake Kilsie and west of the Coldsnap Hollow. Once on the Biron Snowshelf, head for the eastern end of this and walk along the cliff whilst looking downwards. Once you have found it, approach the Mozo Shenno Shrine and activate the pedestal by the door. This will complete the Shrine Quest as well as activate it as a fast travel point. Enter the Shrine. Upon beginning this Shrine, head through the gate ahead. In the large room beyond, proceed further into the room until a scene plays and a Guardian Scout IV shows up.
