Everything else is being sourced from a junk yard truck, besides what I need to adapt.

So I figured id put a list together and post it in here that way you can seacrh for it and have a complete list of what is needed. I know there are a couple other guys in here running the same setup so if I leave anything out feel free to post it up.

Swapping from the 4L60E to the 4L80E is not difficult to do in vehicles that were equipped with both transmissions. Here are the main parts that you are going to need in order to make your own 4L60E to 4L80E swap kit. Unfortunately, the adapter is not cheap. Replacing the entire wiring harness is not easy, convenient, or cost-effective. It is far and away easier to swap in the adapter.

I did not do this at first. Friggin' sweet! There are a couple alternatives for 98's. Ive seen this alot on here where people say you have to buy a standalone contoler from TCI. I simply pulled the. Also, I would check the tow rating in the manual I have not done so in a while , but I am recollecting that the number for the Colorado V8 was with the I4 and I5 being slightly lower.
