I am enjoying the glucose monitor although I could have saved loads of money if I'd just bought that instead of Zoe. In mmol as per the glucose monitor. They won't, presumably can't, answer. So it's completely subjective guesswork then as to what a big spike is, or a moderate one etc, Their app asks us to say how much of a spike we saw on our monitor, yet refuse to say how many mmol. How can I possibly answer that accurately when the glucose monitor works in mmol while Zoe works with descriptors "big" "moderate" "small"?????

Just wondering if anyone signed up to the Zoe app and lost weight? Hi, I'm nearly at the end of the four month period and have lost no weight. I think it depends on the reason you're not as slim as you like - I'm a saint Monday-Thursday and then eat and drink too much Fri-Sun and I haven't changed my weekend ways enough to see a difference in weight. Worth it in other ways though I think and I'm sure if I reigned in weekends it would have had bigger impact. I feel WAY better, loads more energy etc, but was hoping to be slimmer too! One of the problems is I end up eating a lot of nuts and cheese, and a lot of pulses so might try and change that to fish and see if it makes a difference…. I am doing it. But the report was a wake up call - worse than expected blood sugar and fat responses though decent gut biome diversity. Im doing it for health reasons as I want to live in good health for as long as possible. I do feel better and definitely more confident that I'm generally making good food choices for me which adds a bit of feeling virtuous! Unfortunately portion size is still a thing. If I had done it a few years ago I think it would have been much more impactful as since then I'd already basically given up carbs - my blood sugar score was SO bad but my ex-pasta habit would have made it even worse! I'm still glad I did it though. Hoping that the weight loss comes slow and steady - I'm quietly making better choices but nothing dramatic, so over months it should surely add up?!!!
In these circumstances there wasn't much for me to learn. For me, my scores were much better than I expected, and I have started eating more wholegrains.

I keep seeing ads for the Zoe programme which seems to be all about improving gut health and finding out which foods to eat. I would like to improve my eating and general health. I think the sugar monitor is part of the package. Will try again later.

AngelinaJolie21 thanks so much for the feedback. I think you can access the podcasts without signing up to the whole schebang? I am hoping to drop a few KG, but am more interested in what triggers blood sugar spikes etc. Do you think good results are possible if I buy my own CGM and cut out any foods that cause a high spike for me? Can I ask how the blood sugar sensor works? If you have medical concerns, please consult a healthcare professional. My dh is similar - he eats such crap and has a bit of a gut but is a healthy weight and never ill. I signed up for the health testing, I hadn't realised there was a lot of coaching too. Almost all fruit is fine for me but lots of it is Amber for her, for example. I suspect Spector et al saw a way to earn a bucket load of money while at the same time increasing their knowledge without having to spend energy or money on studies. If they are real humans they are doing a very bad job of it. The high scoring meals are remarkably consistent across everyone I've seen with relatively minor variations in scores. If you insist they will retest you but they won't offer, you have to pursue it. Just log everything. This thread is not accepting new messages. Unanswered threads Acronyms Talk guidelines Hide shortcut buttons. Put something like "pork" in and it'll give you no results unless you can type an exact cut of meat etc. Thanks for the new thread. So glad to take screenshots from the app to have some idea. They do nothing to help you discover new good foods. During the two weeks that the sensor works and it does seem pretty strict about switching off , there are some food challenges that Zoe lets you choose. MadameLeotta That's great, thanks. Feeling a bit squeamish about the practicalities. And that it is normal. I reckon the worst bit will be pulling the plaster off. For desktop support. Pretty sure my blood sugar control will be awful.
It certainly is not right
What necessary words... super, a magnificent idea
I apologise, but it does not approach me. Who else, what can prompt?
