Wled flickering
I have a weird problem I can't figure out.
The rest seem fine. There are a total of ws pixels, 12v. If I run an effect, the pixel colors seem fine, but create a flicker almost like a subtle strobe. Anyone know what the issue might be? It seems that only the first chunk 90ish or so pixels have the problem, then the rest are all fine after that.

Now that I have resolved my ground issue, the light effect modes appear to be working as expected. However I am noticing that certain modes, there are random flickering of the lights. Here is an example of Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas Effect. Here is the hardware I have that I am using. The app settings are the default. I updated the LED count to and tried to update the amps to 2amps with no change. Did you look here? Hi tonyno , thanks for the quick reply. That made me realize I forgot to add some details to my inquiry. My original issue was due to 1 and is reflected in my diagram above. I am not sure about 2 because it mentions using 5V lights and I have 12V. Not sure if the matters or the concept is the same.
Solid blue then with Halloween effect. Can you provide details on what the potential issue is? Random white flashes - ESP

Nothing helped. At last i changed the fps to 10 instead of And the flickering was gone! I increased the fps up to 40 fps where i have no flickering. The flickering starts with 41 fps. Thats why i wanted to share this experience. Maybe it helps someone. Knowing this would have saved me hours and hours of trying.

I need to set the LED Max current to below mA, to stabilize it, but even then it will flash randomly. My only have a couple differences: I have a 3. Hmm okay, can you drop schematics of your board? The 30a power supply is this one: The 40a is this: As written I'm not connecting them in parallel, ground IS connected, 5v is separated between both supplies. At some point, you will see some improvement and be able to figure out where the noise is. There are three brightness slider types in the web UI. Segments are non-persistant by default. Replaced that with soldered joint. But this should not be a problem, the nodemcu can be used for this and there are no glitches at all at the end 3. Your setup looks good to me. But at some iterations I have some blinking leds that are rather white, not blue or yellow , and I do not know from where it can come. After I made the power supply uniform with the power supply unit, all the disturbances were gone. Could be the length of the data cables or number of LEDs or some abnormality with connections on the main strips. Plus is NOT connected. If you want to load your preset at every startup, just do the following:.
I have sacrificed a led to send the signal over a data cable about 2m.
I thought I had solved it by putting in a new eps chip. Thanks for your help. Alrighty, took two steps forward, but a new step back today; however, I think this might lead us closer to a diagnosis: I added 33ohm resistors in the data line between the ESP32 and the sacrificial pixel. In my case it's definitely not the strip being hot. I imagine the interference is occurring through the common ground, but am unsure. Aircoookie commented Sep 27, It is recommended to use this slider only if you like a darker version of a color alongside other, brighter colors. Segments are non-persistant by default. Flashes are gone!!! The links below might look the same but they are to different pages. Thanks for the video! If you did not enter a static IP, the module will automatically obtain a dynamic IP from the router. I actually believe that this is indeed a software issue because I have had it too on two of my lights. You can also try this!
