But, in Furious 7 , it was revealed that Deckard Shaw Jason Statham was responsible for the death through some customary retconning. Nobody, and what we saw in the previous movies of his death was a hologram. Though it was later revealed in Furious 6 that Shaw somehow survived the fall, he was left in a coma and on life support with a ventilator doing the breathing for him. Elena and her son would be used to blackmail Dom in the action-packed The Fate of the Furious , as Cipher held the pair hostage to force Toretto to turn against his team to save his family. Letty has expertise in automobiles and a romantic history with Dominic Toretto. Her greatest evolution is her involvement in the globe-trotting heists, as she was the most open to returning to the action-oriented lifestyle than Dom in F9. Despite originally being more hesitant about engaging in the perilous heists of The Fast and the Furious, she has become one of the most reliably gung-ho members of Dominic's crew. However, that comes with a high risk, including being held at gunpoint by a drug lord, and what really happened to Letty in Fast and Furious was almost truly fateful. Once in hiding, Toretto is informed by his sister that Letty has been murdered , forcing him to return to Los Angeles to find out who was responsible for Letty's death.

After sparking up a feud with Letty in London earlier on in the movie, the two meet again on the plane in the final scene. They throw punches back and forth, but it goes nowhere. He was the most hated character of the first movie, mostly because he would start unnecessary fights; however, he redeemed himself in Fast Five , as he died from gunshot wounds protecting Luke Hobbs. Though the entire set piece is seen as completely ridiculous to some , the are some captivating and heartfelt moments in it. But she loses her grip and Han watches the love of his life fall to her death. In Fast and Furious , the fourth entry in the series sees Letty 'killed off,' and though it was off-screen, there are flashbacks to it.
