This simple yet immensely welcome function was initially reported by members of the Tesla community using iOS devices. The close and vent buttons are situated at the top left corner of the Tesla mobile app, beside the button that allows owners to lock and unlock their electric car. Based on the brief footage of the app-based window function, it appears that pressing the window button once will drop all windows about 3 inches, and pressing it again closes all four. Based on the fact that the window close and vent function on the Tesla mobile app appears to be active only among members of the Early Access Program, there is a good chance that Tesla will conduct a mass rollout of the feature together with the V10 Update, which is expected to be released in the near future. Feature requests always appreciated.

Unfortunately, I'm not anywhere close to the car to do a visual check and observation. Specifically, under Controls, the window icon at the top shows "Close". This would be just like the 'Unlock' button next to it - tapping that button unlocks the doors with the button changing to 'Lock'. What happens, however, is that tapping 'Close' turns the button momentarily to 'Vent' and then it switches back to 'Close'. There's really no way for me to tell if the windows are in fact closed and I have had a couple of situations where one of the windows will open on its own to the vent position when I'm away from the car, so I'm concerned about the windows being open.
