The baby Magmasaur eats ambergris that comes from the space whales. That is all I got my babies to eat and it filled their food bar fast similar to wyvern milk does to the wyvern babies. You can mine the kinda greeny glowy rocks in the lunar biome they are almost everywhere, they also drop a little bit of element shards, but you can get much more element in the volcano there is ton of those red crystals which give a lot more element shards. Lunar biome, the green rocks give ambergris and shards. Use the ambergris. It works a hundred percent. Teleport to the north and there should be some there.

After the eggs are obtained, you will need to adjust the temperature accordingly for incubation. Once you have successfully hatched your young Magmasaur, you must imprint and feed it to keep it alive. Baby Magmasaurs survive on a diet Ambergris or Sulfur.

I recommend going in with a plan to attempt to sneak away with the egg, or you can choose to fight your way through the horde of Magmasaurs to try and steal one. Both methods are valid, and you should always prepare for a fight against these creatures when attempting to steal their eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved. However, if you can sneak in and grab the egg without starting a fight, you might find it much easier to escape. When you have successfully hatched your baby Magmasaur you must imprint and feed it to keep it alive.
