A spring preview! Thursday was a beauty, with blue skies and sunshine from the coast to the Cascades. However, it wasn't a warm one, with highs only in the middle to upper 40s for most of the metro area. We'll remedy that on Friday courtesy of a warm front moving in. However, that warm front will also bring in the cloud cover, so look for increasing overcast throughout the day. We'll also see a few light showers graze us on their way into British Columbia, so we'll see a better chance for some light rain along the north Pacific coast, through the Strait, and over the San Juan Islands. The rest of us will follow suit with the return of the rainy weather on Saturday. We'll see a damp-at-times start to the weekend, and we'll cool back into the upper 40s as the more powerful cold frontal portion of this system swings by. The snow level will drop to 3,', so Snoqualmie Summit will see the return of some wet snow--great news for the ski resorts again, but keep that in mind if you're traveling over the passes. A cool and showery Saturday afternoon may include a stray rumble and flash of thunder and lightning, too. Sunday will also be damp, cool and breezy as a second weekend disturbance rolls by. While a bit dark thanks to the cloud cover, it will stay lighter later in the evening thanks to our "spring forward" to Daylight Saving Time early Sunday morning.
