To me it sounded like the valves needed to be adjusted, as they have never been adjusted to this point, eventually it turned in to this: I decided to go digging and have a look at the valves. That's when I found this on the 6 cylinder. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions. Disable VCM and it can help. I'm guessing cylinder 4 being one of the disabled cylinders contributes to it.

I tow a boat many many times a year and my pilot has performed perfectly. Just like your showing. I see a ton more issues cams, chains, rings on 0w20 and extended oci. Which cam were you looking at and why? I wonder if no valve lash caused it to get severely overtightened. I should have done that a long time ago. I am not too worried about the 10k trip, as it is over in about 10 minutes - but maybe I am just naive? I'm getting real worried with all these recent discontinued parts.
