Please take note that most of the information here does not relate to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It made its debut in Fear Itself , and was an armor created by Tony Stark. Its design was based off the Asgardian weapon called the Destroyer. While Tony Stark designed the eight weapons of the Mighty, he apparently did not design this armor per se; it appeared he simply plunged himself, armored-up, into a vat of molten Uru, which was then infused with the divine will of Odin. He emerged with the new armor complete and finished. In appearance, it strongly resembles the Destroyer - the practically invincible mystical armor created by Odin. When the forgotten Asgardian god of fear - Odin's brother and deadly rival, who had been imprisoned for millennia - was released by his reincarnated daughter Skadi, he released seven hammers containing the essences of his generals of old on Earth. As the eight demonic beings rampaged on Earth, Tony Stark - having faced Mokk, the Breaker of Faith - realized more power than humanity possessed was necessary to stop them. He sacrificed his sobriety as a supplication to Odin, demanding the All-Father appear and give them at least a fighting chance. Odin, who had been planning to raze Earth to defeat his brother, relented and gave Iron Man access to his Asgardian resources - unearthly metals, the expertise of the dwarven smiths and empowering enchantments - to create mighty weapons for eight of Earth's heroes. When he emerged, his armored form resembled the Destroyer, and he faced the so-called Worthy in the last stand of Earth's heroes against devastation. The battle was won, and afterwards, Odin removed the enchantment, and Tony Stark expelled the Uru from his armor. In spite of considerable build-up, the armor did not get a single battle scene in the finale of the story it featured in.

It is because of this, weapons forged using this metal, especially those that are further enchanted, are highly resilient to damage. The most famous of these is Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Due to its incredible durability and resistance to damage, its ductility is impossible to determine, and it is unknown if Uru can be drawn into wire.
Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off fifteen years ago, the general audience was introduced to many Marvel characters. That explains how these weapons were able to withstand the power of the Infinity Stones since Uru can also retain and absorb magic and enchantments. The alternate answer is that the sword was perhaps made by the Celestials, but in one way or another, we are surely talking about a mystical metal here. When you have something in comics deemed indestructible, you can be sure there is a way to destroy it. Vibranium, on the other hand, is an alien metal that came to Earth when a meteor crashed into a territory that is today known as the country of Wakanda.
