It's a rendering of a photo by Laurence O. Doherty from the late s which captured the young Feargal Sharkey-fronted band in the city's Bull Park. Another photo from the same session was used for the cover of the band's eponymous debut album. The Undertones have influenced major bands around the world, including one of Germany's most popular ones. That is according to punk rockers Die Toten Hosen lead singer Campino, who was in Londonderry at the weekend to perform with the iconic Northern Ireland band in their home city.
