Turkish Airlines flies several times daily from Manchester to Istanbul. This contrasts flag-carrier British Airways , which only operates from London Heathrow. This flight was on the narrowbody Airbus A , but the airline operates many of its flights with widebody aircraft the schedule is generally quite accurate with minimal operational changes after booking. These flights would, of course, have full long-haul style lie-flay business class seating.

While several aspects of the Turkish Airlines Business Class experience meet and indeed exceed industry best practice, the airline also has a challenge with inconsistency. Two of the most important elements of any Business Class product are seats and service, and on Turkish both can range from underwhelming to world class.

It was a nice treat when flying intra-Europe.
