There is one thing I don't get, how come future trunks didn't spend time talking or hanging out with gohan in the android saga?

Trunks was introduced as a time-traveling Saiyan warrior who came back in time to help the Z-Fighters of the past fight against the villainous Androids. However, the prime-timeline Gohan shown in this episode essentially gave up his life as a warrior and became a family man—but not before he created the superhero alter ego: the Great Saiyaman. Then, to top it all off, Gohan turned his fighting skills and raw power into a joke by adopting the superhero persona of the Great Saiyaman. The episode showed Future Trunks acting noticeably confused when Gohan did poses and spoke like a hearty hero, but the underlying emotion he was feeling was disappointment in what his one-time mentor became.

In the second mission and final mission of the Unknown History Saga, prisoners stream to a change in history caused by Towa's Distorted Time Eggs, Future Trunks ends up showing up to help Future Gohan fight the Androids, letting his emotions take him over and not caring about the circumstances of changing the course of history. Future Gohanks also appears exclusively in Dragon Ball Fusions through a special collaboration between both games. Though his time in battle was cut short, Gohanks possesses some unique characteristics as a fused fighter.

The reunion is happening over in the Dragon Ball Heroes promo anime's latest episode, the Space-Time Tournament hosted by the former Supreme Kai of Time kicks off, with Goku and the Universe 7 team quickly thrown into some pretty intense matchups with variant versions of villains from their past — including an evil Piccolo! However, the matchup that fans are really buzzing about is Future Trunks taking on the mysterious Hooded Saiyan — who we knew all along was an alternate Future Gohan! Gero's Androids 17 and 18 , and lost everything he held dear.
