Treasure is a Ariel 's rambunctious deep-orange sea-faring kitten in the Palace Pets franchise. Treasure is a curious kitten from the high seas with beautiful red fur. Unlike most kitties, she loves to swim, and she always smells like the freshest sea breeze. Ariel and Treasure met during a trip aboard Prince Eric's sailing ship. The kitty adored the ocean, but had always dreamed of life in a grand castle. When the group reached the harbor, the adventurous kitten followed Ariel home. The sea-loving friends have been together ever since! Treasure is courageous and loves adventure, especially the ones that involve lots of water! In the series, Treasure is a tomboy who likes taking risks. She is best friends with Sultan and is seen either playing with him or having some sort of competition with him. Treasure has a deep love for the sea and often speaks like a pirate. Treasure enjoys having pool parties ; in the first episode she was seen playing the water before being interrupted by Miss Featherbon. Treasure is shown to dislike the dainty and bejeweled for herself, but appreciates the different styles that all of her friends adorn!

The Palace Pets also have their own world called Whisker Haven , where they go on adventures and befriend other Palace Pets from all of the Princess Kingdoms. Each Palace Pet has been found and adopted by their respective princess. They originated from different types of situations, and always end up being with the princesses. Each of them has a resemblance to her or his respective owner, whether it is in appearance or accessories. The franchise is a departure from the princesses' original animal allies in their respective movies. Each of them are being cared by the Disney Princesses.
