This is an independent site, run and owned by Andrew Trusty, operating worldwide. The site connects into Freegle and Freecycle groups, giving the members a simple way to use as many groups as they wish. A lot of new members join Freegle groups via TN, so they are a valuable resource. TN members are able to browse, reply to and submit offers and requests and edit their offers and requests. TN members can also see and respond to chats on TN or by email. Some members get confused between the two sites. Volunteers should get a reminder about the settings every six months and you can access the site from the reminder. If there are any problems just contact Andrew. The most active communities have members like you who help grow their community by telling their friends and family. It's easy to use, simply post what you have to give away and request things that you want and other members of the community will contact you if they can help. I love the idea of Freecycle and Freegle and their websites are just awful to manage replies on - and not mobile friendly - this solves the main problems of the sites - and aggregates really well - being able to post on multiple forums quickly is a major win!
You can change which posts you see by updating your post options on the Settings page. To get the most control, you should enable the option labelled "Only show posts that are near me" and then set the distance to match the local area you want. The feedback information you see on other members has two main parts - a feedback score and a positive feedback percentage. If you've used eBay before, then you'll probably be familiar with how these work. The feedback score is a number shown inside a colored box with an arrow next to it. The feedback score is the count of all positive feedback a member has received minus the count of all negative feedback a member has received.

The goal is to promote the three R's Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle by making it easy for people to give away their unwanted but reusable items to people who can use them. You can post Offers for items you want to give away or Requests for items you need. You can give and get almost anything on trash nothing including food, clothes, furniture, electronics, books, plants, toys and much more. Just make sure you follow the rules and guidelines when posting and replying. Even things you might not consider reusable like cloth scraps, scratched CDs and broken appliances sometimes find homes with artists looking for materials or tinkerers looking for an interesting project or spare parts. Items you offer aren't expected to be in perfect condition as long as you accurately describe their condition when you offer them. Similarly, when you need something, you can post a Request and if someone has what you need, they will contact you to offer it. So next time you're cleaning out the garage, moving to a new place or about to throw something away, don't forget that someone on trash nothing might be able to use your unwanted stuff. For example, here is how offering an item works: You have a bike you don't need and you want to give it away. You post an Offer that describes your bike.
