They claimed that they had just found the website and liked it so they were sharing it with their audience. It was discovered, however, that Syndicate and TmarTn actually co-owned the website. This led to much outrage, as what they both did failing to disclose the ownership of their business was technically a crime. TmarTn came out with a response video on the controversy. Many people, however, didn't see this video as a proper response, mainly because of the following:. Because of the many shortcomings of this video, it was met with much backlash, and had more dislikes than likes. The video has now been deleted. Trevor's main channel at the time, TmarTn, began to decline in popularity after the incident, and eventually stopped uploading all together. Despite the backlash, Trevor's reputation hasn't been affected badly and has subsequently improved after the incident, as Trevor decided to focus most of his content, towards his "TmarTn2" channel, which ended up gaining more subscribers than the original account, and still makes videos to this day.
