Hi, everyone. My husband and I are traveling to Scotland, London and Paris for the first time June to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We fly in to EDI and will be staying there for 2 nights, then going to Ballater for days. If we decide not to rent a car, what is the best way to travel to all the beautiful places in Scotland? Are they accessible by bus or train from Ballater?

Ballater is near to Balmoral Castle, the Scottish holiday home of the British Royal Family, and Crathie Church, where the family worship when in residence. Admission includes parking, access to the formal and vegetable gardens, the exhibitions in the stable area and largest room in the Castle, the Ballroom. Crathie kirk is a small local church and is known as being a regular place of worship for the royals when they are visiting Balmoral Castle. We personally recommend visiting the rose garden whilst the sun is setting for the most beautiful experience.
