I didn't miss them as much as I thought I would. In The Stolen Heir , Holly Back captures the true darkness of magic and how strong the craving for revenge can be. So instead, she keeps watch in the woods and helps free foolish humans from awful bargains they make with Hags and magical creatures of the night. A lot of it captured their collective energy so perfectly it was like reliving The Folk of the Air series all over again. Now Suren must travel to the Ice Needle Citadel, in the company of the boy to whom she was once betrothed, all while fighting off monsters made from sticks and snow. Without a magical glamour to disguise her as a human, Wren is blue skinned and sharp toothed—beautiful, but frightening to look upon. Christian Beliefs.
