The Barley Merchant is a locally owned and operated establishment located in Langley just north of the th Street exit at highway one, the barley merchant, near The Colossus Movie Theatre. Since opening in July of after a prolonged delay due the pandemic, they have become a popular gathering place for those who embrace drinking local. The beer savvy team at The Barley Merchant is about more than just the beer too as they love sharing the barley merchant stories of the people behind the brands and creating a unique and personalized experience for each guest. All with an emphasis on promoting and celebrating the unique flavors and experiences available in the region.

On safety —All of our fryers are gluten free. For anything breaded and fried, we use "The Good Flour" which is made from brown rice and tapioca starch. For anyone stating that they are celiac we do a thorough clean of the work space, wash hands and use fresh utensils to build the dish. We are not a gluten free facility though so there is always a small potential risk of exposure but we do our best minimize that every step of the way. So many gluten free options!

Can really feel the love and dedication put into every dish and drink curated at The Barley Merchant. Two stand outs for me are Cheers : More. The burgers were bursting with flavour and so delicious to eat. The Ganging fried chicken sand had the most unique flavours and the bacon cheddar burger did not disappoint. The quality of the food was superb and was excellent value for the money. We did My boyfriend and I stopped in here for dinner and drinks on a Saturday evening. I enjoyed the steak frites which were cooked to perfection and he devoured the Taproom burger. He was impressed by the vast beer selection and thoroughly enjoyed each of the My wine was fantastic and super cool that all of the liquor is BC local!! The atmosphere was top notch - good vibes all around.

All dressings, sauces, stocks, soups and dips are made fresh in house, along with our sourdough, gnocchi and desserts. We use in season, BC ingredients whenever possible and strive to use all parts of each product to minimize our food waste. Served with grilled sourdough. Served with ginger lime soy mayo. Updated 1 year ago read full review. The Debauchery was out of this world! Really enjoyed the food here! Amazing staff. Does this restaurant offer highchairs for toddlers? And also fully nut-free. The menu had too many options, so my family ended up getting 2 orders of wings house hot, maple stout , the beer cheese, 2 sets of tacos marinated chicken, chilli prawns , the dirty bird fried chicken Sando, and the taproom burger. Does this restaurant serve alcohol?
