By Olivia Devereux-evans For Mailonline. An infertile womb raider has been sentenced to death for stabbing a heavily pregnant woman, crushing her skull with a hammer then ripping her unborn baby from her womb, killing them both, in front of the victim's three-year-old daughter. Taylor Rene Parker, 29, was handed the death sentence after a jury of six men and six women deliberated for an hour and 15 minutes in Bowie County, miles east of Dallas, Texas, according to TXK Today. She killed Reagan Michelle Simmons-Hancock, 21, and her unborn baby at her home in New Boston on October 9, after befriending her victim because she was pregnant. Parker, who had two children but had undergone a hysterectomy, had hunted for a victim while faking a pregnancy - including sharing fake ultrasound scans, hosting a gender reveal party and posing for photo shoots with a false bump.

The victim's husband said his wife was "somewhat friends" with her killer and that Parker had taken their wedding and engagement photos. A woman has been sentenced to death for killing a pregnant mother she knew and cutting out her baby to take as her own. Taylor Parker, 29, was convicted last month of murdering Reagan Simmons-Hancock and on Wednesday a jury in Texas gave her the death penalty. She killed the year-old in October , beating her in the head and slashing her before "cutting her abdomen, hip to hip" to remove the baby. Prosecutors said Ms Simmons-Hancock, who was 35 weeks pregnant, was still alive after the attack - which took place at her home while her three-year-old daughter was there. She told her: "My baby was alive still fighting for her babies when you tore her open and ripped her baby from her stomach. The baby was found in her lap with its umbilical cord appearing to come from her pants in an attempt to make it seem like she'd just given birth. Prosecutors said in the run-up to the murder Parker had made herself look pregnant, faked ultrasounds and had a gender-reveal party. A Texas woman was convicted of capital murder Monday for killing a pregnant woman to take her unborn baby. A Bowie County jury in northeast Texas deliberated about an hour before finding Taylor Rene Parker , 29, guilty of the October murder of Reagan Michelle Simmons-Hancock, 21, and the abduction of the daughter cut from her womb who later died. The verdict of a jury of six men and six women came after three weeks of sometimes grisly testimony. Parker's attorneys argued that the baby was never alive and moved to dismiss a kidnapping charge, which would have lowered the capital murder charge to murder. You can't kidnap a person who has not been born alive," said Jeff Harrelson in his final argument to the jury. Prosecutors said, however, that several medical professionals testified the infant had a heartbeat when born. They also recounted Parker's actions leading to the day Simmons-Hancock was killed. The best evidence the state of Texas has that baby was born alive is that Taylor Parker said it wasn't," said prosecutor Kelley Crisp. Fellow prosecutor Lauren Richards recounted all of the masquerades Parker performed for different people, including the pregnancy she faked leading up to the killing. She reminded the jury of how Reagan was beaten in the head at least five times with such force that the blows compressed her skull into her brain.
