The new bar was labelled a bar "with a difference" at the time. They are providing sensitivity training to security staff to improve the treatment of trans and non-binary people, and employing various queer acts. The owners of Main Stage bar, a popular cabaret bar in Cardiff's St Mary Street, first announced they planned to open a second venue in Swansea at Swansea Pride last year; but plans unfortunately fell through. The pair have now signed the lease for an empty unit in Castle Street, just up from night-out haven Wind Street, and have started transforming a former Chinese coffee shop into a glitzy and glamorous bar. The unit is currently something of a blank slate, after Martin and Marc gutted the venue and removed its old coffee machine and furnishings.
