The river in the park serves as a great food source for the eagles. The resident bald eagle pair are named Victoria and Nicholas. They have nested in this location for over 16 years in the same tree. Hurricane Irma, unfortunately, toppled the tree the nest was in. The eagles immediately began to rebuild in a tree right beside the one that fell.
