The Supreme Court is responsible for the admission of lawyers in Queensland. To be eligible for admission, all applicants must have completed approved law qualifications, undertaken approved practical legal training via a practical legal training course or Supervised Traineeship at a firm, and be able to satisfy the Admissions Board and the Court of their fitness to practise. To be eligible to commence a traineeship supervised workplace experience a person must have completed their academic qualifications and be a suitable person to be admitted to the legal profession. A Supervised Traineeship is required to be undertaken for a minimum period of one year.
