Sunderstone Gorge is a medium-sized cave west of Bloated Man's Grotto occupied by warlocks. It contains a variety of traps and a word wall which teaches part of the Fire Breath shout. An unusual gem is located on the large stone bier in front of the word wall. Two sets of skeletal remains and blood splashed cairns lead up to the gorge's mountain entrance. A single, leveled necromancer is found standing beside the entrance and will try to bar your entry. They can be very hard to spot from any distance as they blend in very well. Once inside the path leads downward to the first of many pressure plates that triggers a falling boulders trap.

If the Dragonborn travels to the cave via horse , the nearby Fire Mage or Necromancer may kill the horse with Shadowmere and Arvak being the exceptions. This can be avoided by dismounting before approaching the entrance. Within the cave, there are several leveled mages and necromancers most of whom will be Fire Mages , with either one Master fire mage, Master ice mage , Arch necromancer , or a Master necromancer at the entrance as well as skeletons. There are also many booby traps to watch out for. At one point, there is a fire trap that can be triggered by killing the skeleton to the right south with a bow. Proceeding north, there is a junction. The right east path leads to a wall that can't be climbed, but contains three silver ore veins. The straight north path leads to a spiked gate trap protecting a room with several mages pyromancers, necromancers, etc. At the opposite north end of the room, a small alcove to the right east contains an adept locked chest. Wooden steps lead up to the left west , then left again south to a wooden bridge leading east.

The trail takes you to an iron door sunderstone gorge opens to a large room with two fire mages on the dais.

Watch for the bone chimes which may alert enemies lurking further along. No it's one of those random radiant quests to rescue various kidnapped NPCs. Opened an earlier save, used tcl, moved through the walls and got into the room the quest airrow was pointing at but no one was in it and I couldn't see a door or ramp entrance or exit.
