Simon Siddall. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Welcome to a new feature on Sumotalk, our very own version of the sansho three special awards , namely - in real sumo - the fighting spirit prize, the outstanding performance prize and the technique prize. However, to give it a Sumotalk-esque flavour, each basho our contributors will vote for the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Good and Bad are pretty self-explanatory, while the Ugly Prize goes to the rikishi who employed the most negative, evasive and downright nasty sumo. As an aside, there were some on this site who felt this category should be re-named the Roho Prize, but, as all Sumotalk readers know, we are 'fair and balanced', just like Fox News is 'fair and balanced', so we stuck with Ugly. Synonyms, eh?

Seated comfortably indoors, he is engrossed in the pages of a newspaper, completely absorbed in his reading. The photograph beautifully encapsulates the essence of Japanese culture and its unique blend of tradition and modernity. The juxtaposition of the ancient sport of sumo wrestling with the contemporary act of reading a newspaper reflects Japan's ability to seamlessly merge its rich heritage with technological advancements. The serene expression on the wrestler's face suggests that this is not just an ordinary leisure activity but rather a cherished form of recreation for him. As we observe him immersed in his own world, it becomes evident that even larger-than-life figures like sumo wrestlers seek moments of respite from their demanding lifestyles. Through their artistry, they invite us into an unseen realm where time stands still and individuals find solace within themselves. I would recommend it to anyone who likes graphic novels and pictures. Shame they're all foreigners. As should now be obvious from the uncharacteristic terseness of my comments so far, Mike's report covered just about everything so I'm not going to repeat all that. He is for the promotion, certainly capable of it, and I think the first week will be absolutely vital for him. It is NOT an intro to Sumo for teens. So there you have it--a report shortened greatly by the dearth of positive things to say. Mike likes to comb through the Maegashira in intricate detail so I'll leave that to him. He moves to Japan to try and become a professional sumo wrestler. Ama if he gets a winning record. My husband and I barely discussed this book after we read it, because all we could do was look at each other and say "Whoa. What occurs in Sumo 's narrative span is Scott's day of judgment—on this story will hinge our evaluation of Scott as a whole person. Expect a minimum of six wins, and a possible winning record.

If M10 Tamanoshima is not injured, he will have plenty of joy this basho as he is fighting far below his natural level. However, as ten wins is generally considered the target for an Ozeki, he will be expected to go for the round number. This idiocy could threaten promising careers. Good lad. I see another painful nine wins from him. Time will tell. When he does that, he's in the top ten. M4 Tokitenku is someone I've learned to respect. A Yokozuna's first duty is to challenge regularly for the yusho. I enjoyed the book , because it was truthful in the way If this is true, he gains even more respect from me if that is possible because my sentiments echo his precisely in that regard. It's maybe a couple months of a person's life. It is a bit too short. Jason Bloom. The first few bouts of Makuuchi are not going to be pretty.
