Subnautica scanner room
The Scanner Room is a Seabase module. It is constructed with the Habitat Builder and allows the player to generate a 3D map of the surrounding Biome , scan for resources, and conduct scouting via controllable Camera Drones. The player must find three Fragments to unlock the Scanner Room's blueprint. If a Scanner Room is constructed in an unpowered Seabase, it will not function. The Scanner Room always requires power to display its holographic map, but it does not drain base power unless it is scanning or fabricating upgrades. The Scanner Room in construction terms functions like a I Compartment : while it is circular in form, only two sides are connectors. These are indicated by rectangular blanking plates which can be used to help orient it: it is often necessary to use the rotate function when building one to get it at the proper angle. It will automatically join to any suitable module on the same horizontal level at close range, generating a short length of corridor in which Bulkheads cannot be built. Hatches or Windows can be placed on the Scanner Room's end panels, but not Reinforcements. It does not support any form of vertical connection. The Scanner Room's interior has three interactive components: two are parts of a display on one wall, while the other is a Mini-Fabricator and four Upgrade Module slots on the opposite wall. The display panel incorporates a circular screen the drone controls and a menu the scanner controls.

Atm I'm looking for Blue Prints and was wondering how to interpret the scan-generated map of the Scanner Room. I'm guessing that the lighted out hot spots shall be the hits of the scan, but I still don't get how you navigate after that scan.

The scanner can be used to synthesize blueprints from salvaged technology, and to record alien biological data. The Scanner is a tool capable of scanning Fragments , lifeforms, technology, flora , the Player's body, and other objects scattered around the map, which get added to the Databank. Fragments are scanned to acquire Blueprints ; to acquire the blueprints of a particular item, the player must scan its corresponding fragments, the number of which varies based on the object. If a fragment is scanned but the player has already acquired the blueprints for said fragment, then the fragment will become 2 pieces of titanium and automatically be put into the player's storage.

The scanner provides no indication of which type a particular "contact" is in the case of materials like Quartz or Lithium that can be found in both single and Large Deposit states. I then tried adding a pipe to connect the scanner room to my base and it won't let me. When controlling a drone, a special beacon will appear indicating the Scanner Room to assist in returning to it.

That issue with scannners not having things on its list has been around a while. Controlling a distant drone can require a fair amount of loading, which is concealed using a "connecting" icon in the camera feed. The scanner's search speed and range can be increased with the Scanner Room Range Upgrade and Scanner Room Speed Upgrade , which are constructed using the room's built-in Mini-Fabricator and plugged into a set of four upgrade slots next to it. I then built it a little bit always. I was hoping that we could eventually use the scanner room to make a larger map of the world, but it seems very limited currently and not really all that useful. If the scanner room works like that, the best and logical idea would be to have it inside the mobile cyclops. It all feels a bit odd to me but maybe that because I don't understand it correctly and so I'm looking to get some info from someone who has tried it a bit. Change language. Each Scanner Room has two charging sockets for drones, and they can only be charged at these sockets. They have a range of about meters.
