This trimmer has less than 1 hour on it. Just recently it's gotten a little tougher to start and does not run smoothly. It sounds as if it's breaking up, or is miss-firing. It just doesn't have that clean crisp sound. I've gone through the basics and made up a new batch of fuel with premium gas and Stihl mix. I just got a new spark plug but have not yet tried. The clutch is the part of the trimmer that engages and disengages the cutting head from the engine. When this part becomes worn or damaged, it can cause the trimmer head to become stuck in one position and not rotate properly. Additionally, a damaged clutch can also cause the cutting head to vibrate excessively, which can lead to further damage. To troubleshoot this problem, inspect the clutch for any signs of damage or wear. If any damage is visible, replace the clutch with a new one.
