Stardew valley keg
Artisan goods are a great source of money in Stardew Valley. From wine and cheese to jelly and mayonnaise, you can become an expert in anything.
Players of Stardew Valley know that there are a large amount of items that can be crafted in order to either make farm life easier or more profitable. One such item that falls into the latter category is the keg, which can turn a variety of items into artisan drinks, usually vastly increasing the sell price of the item. They are an near essential item to have in Stardew Valley. Unlocking the crafting recipe for kegs requires players to reach level 8 in farming. Once that is done, a keg can be crafted with 30 wood, 1 copper bar, 1 iron bar, and 1 unit of oak resin. Smelting a bar will require a furnace crafted with 25 stone and 20 copper ore , 5 of one type of ore, and a piece of coal.

Some people like to put them outside and line them up as fences. Once you have a shed you can put double rows in the shed, with room to walk between them. If you have the automate mod, then once trees are grown, place a chest in front of the tree, and fruit will harvest automatically. Then place one or more kegs around the tree trunk and wine will be made and put back into chest for you. You can do the same with jars to get jellys automatically made as trees produce fruit. I like to place my kegs all over the road leading to the tunnel past where the bus is as well as inside the tunnel itself. On the path in-between the north exit of your farm and west of Robin's house is a great place too, as well as all over the west side of the Ginger Island Farm once you gain access to it later on. Not only is there plenty of space to place a lot of them at once, but you can easily set them up in such a way that you can have many of them lined up in a row which makes placing fruit inside and collecting your wine much faster, plus it's also completely out of the way of NPCs since nobody walks there, meaning nobody can destroy your hard work. But more importantly I would also recommend that you keep them as close as possible so that you don't have to waste too much time traveling and carrying stuff to them back and forth. Once you get to the big numbers, for example kegs, it starts to get very tedious to both find space for them, and also to put and take out things from them all the time. I found a mod that allows you to craft higher triers of kegs, that can process multiple things at once. For example, you can craft a keg that processes 20 things at once, and costs 20 times the materials to craft. There are different recipes for different kegs and Clint sells them all, the higher tiers are very expensive to buy so it's not something you can start crafting as soon as you unlock kegs. It's a cool little mod, saves you space on your farm and saves you from the tedious chore of managing hundreds of kegs.

Stardew Valley is all about growing crops and making a living off the land — but there's more that players can do with their fruit and vegetables than sell them as-is. As players advance their Farming skill, they will unlock crafting recipes for items that will let them can, preserve, and ferment their produce into highly valuable artisan goods. Two such items that Stardew Valley players tend to craft in huge numbers are Kegs and Preserves Jars. Both of these can be used to turn crops — particularly fruits and vegetables — into Artisan Goods that multiply their value spectacularly, potentially earning the player massive profits. But is one better than the other? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each option? Here's how Kegs and Preserves Jars stack up against each other when compared head-to-head. Both Preserves Jars and Kegs are useful to have on a player's farm, as they can both be used to turn produce and other items into valuable artisan goods. It is important to note that the quality of the item placed in a Preserves Jar or a Keg does not affect the quality or sell price of the artisan product. A Jelly made from a gold-quality fruit, for example, will sell for the same price as one made from a normal-quality fruit.
