Luckily for him, Marvel has undone most of these deaths, whether through time distortions, divine interventions, or even physical transformations. Experiencing such extreme trauma has never caused Spider-Man to waver in his crusade against evil, but it has shaped his outlook on life in a variety of ways. Spider-Man went through a long stretch of his career without ever leaving the mortal coil, but his first death was fairly mundane.
