Other villains—most notably the Hobgoblin—have also patterned their villainous identities after the Green Goblin. Spider-Man battled the eight-limbed villain multiple times, and like the Green Goblin before him, Octavius cheated death on more than one occasion to bedevil the world—and his spidery adversary—anew.
