The Solar Eruption is a Hardmode , post- Lunatic Cultist autoswinging melee weapon which fires a long, spear-like projection from the player's position that quickly retracts. The tip follows a narrow arc in the general direction of the cursor before retracting. The Solar Eruption can travel through blocks and inflicts the Daybroken debuff upon hitting an enemy, which deals ticks of 25 damage per quarter-second for 5 seconds. The Mourningstar is a craftable post- Moon Lord flail that is the direct upgrade of the Solar Eruption. Similarly to the Solar Eruption, the Mourningstar fires two solar spear-like projectiles that extend and retract from the player's position, following a narrow arc in the general area of the cursor for the duration of their travel. The flails have infinite piercing capabilities, ignore tiles, and create explosions when hitting enemies. Both the flails and the explosions created inflict the Daybroken debuff on enemy hits. Up to a maximum of eight spear projectiles can be lodged into a single enemy at one time, resulting in a maximum of DPS from the afflicted debuff. Solar Explosions are produced from the Daybreak's spears once the debuff's duration expires, once the afflicted enemy dies, when a spear collides with solid tiles, or when the spear limit is reached and another thrown spear attempts to affect the same afflicted target. These explosions inflict the weapon's base damage and also apply the Daybroken debuff to nearby enemies. Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic.
