The way Slakoth lolls around makes anyone who watches it feel like doing the same, sloth pokemon. It sleeps for 20 hours every day.

Because it moves so little, it does not need much food. Alpha Sapphire Slakoth's heart beats just once a minute. Whatever happens, it is content to loaf around motionless. It hits without fail.

One of the most rightfully beloved of all mammals, a creature so sluggish and lazy that its body collects algae, fungi and moths. Pity they didn't use that to make Slakoth a moldy grass type rather than a normal type, but at least they got the overall look of a sloth down perfect. This is precisely a two-toed sloth translated straight to pokemon's art style, and it is every bit as adorable as that implies. Until it evolves so unexpectedly into Vigoroth. I love the concept here of a fairly ordinary, gentle, sleepy sloth suddenly becoming this violent nightmare beast with a remarkably high speed stat, but I'm really not so big on the design. It just doesn't look as nicely drawn as Slakoth did, and I wish it retained a much more sloth-like, rounded face. I think that's the big thing. With a face more like Slakoth, maybe just a little grumpier, this would be excellent. So, after an extended rampage as Vigoroth, this pokemon evolves into Slaking , and That's quite clearly an ape , complete with five-fingered hands.

It evolves into Vigoroth starting at level 18, which evolves into Slaking starting at level It has coarse, shaggy fur with two dark brown stripes on its back. There is a scruff of fur on top of its head, and it has a large, pig-like pink nose, pink eyelids, and dark rings around its eyes. It has long, lanky arms, but shorter legs. Each paw has two sharp claws, and there are pink paw pads on the back feet. Its underbelly and rear are also pink.

This attack never misses. This sharply raises the user's Sp. Def stat. The target's stat changes don't affect this attack's damage. The less HP the user has, the greater the move's power. This may also lower the target's Attack stat. Atk stats increase.
