Hey guys. What's up? I initiate my battles with a bow but when the bad guys start coming at me, I switch to a Spell-Sword setup. I think I'm mostly waiting to see which type of armor I fancy more. While on the other hand, the Deadric Armor sounds sweet! I'm also not really understanding the pros and cons. I mean, Light armor is supposed to be for sneak, but it seems that the perks in Heavy Armor give you the ability to sneak, so why wouldn't everything just pick Heavy Armor? I was wondering how you all decided on this? Did you pick Heavy or Light Armor to spec into? Light armor provides almost as much armor at higher levels, and it's perks tree is much better, with increased stamina. In order to make Heavy armor light you need to waste 2 perks on worthless ones. I usually go with light armor because they generally look better though I will admit that the Daedric Armor in Skyrim looks pretty badass. Though I didn't really start investing any points into until I got the Nightingale Armor which I used for the rest of the game.

Well I have managed to finally get a high level melee char and am at the point I can make myself a good set of armor but I'm not sure what is best considering both light and heavy armor seem able to hit the armor cap for me.

In an ideal game engine, an iron blade would be sharp enough to cut leather or fur and thus leather or fur armor would provide little to no protection but weak against steel armor, since steel is stronger than iron.
